Weird issue with Pear Auth and MDB2 only on Linux Machine

Hello, i will get straight to the point.

I am using Pear Auth and MDB2 for authentication and development takes place on 1 windows machine and 1 linux machine.

On the linux machine when a user resets his password then it's not possible to login - this problem does not occur on the windows machine.

The update process does an update on the password column using

- SET pass=md5('".$newpass."') WHERE ....

I have been using PEAR Auth with DB and MDB2 for years and it's the first time i am dealing with this issue.

I did not have the time to debug the internals of MDB2 during the auth. process so i am hoping that someone had the same problem.
