Please could someone suggest the best solution to the error I'm receiving below:

MDB2 Error: unknown error: _doquery: [Error message: Could not execute statement]
[Last executed query: select blah from blah]
[Native code: 2006]
[Native message: MySQL server has gone away]

The error occurs when executing a query after a query that has taken a long time to complete.
