mocking CLIENT_MULTI_STATEMENTS in mdb2

Hello there,

MYSQL doc tells me to avoid the error message I'm getting which is "Procedure X can't return a result set in the given context" that I need to add CLIENT_MULTI_STATEMENTS to my call to mysql_real_connect() ....

but in MDB2 there is no mysql_real_connect - and so nowhere to add CLIENT_MULTI_STATEMENTS... has anyone else used MDB2 overcome this probelm? I am still getting that error message... any clues or ideas?
