Authentication Scripts Not Working

I have tried about 6 different scripts for creating a login ability for an admin page on my site as well as trying to code one myself. In each try when I access the page, there is nothing there, just a blank white page. I cannot seem to get any of them to work.

I do have a database which i through some sample data into and I have no problem writing a script to just display each entry in the database. It works no problem and confirms I have a database and it is functioning.

I have also contacted my webhost and ensured that PEAR is in fact installed with the appropriate packages that are needed.

Anyone have any suggestions?
