Hi,

I am a new PHP user, but I attempted to search for this type of error before posting. Sorry if I missed something obvious.

From http://pear.php.net/go-pear, I saved go-pear.php in my website directory, and opened it using the browser. Checking the defaults and providing a proxy, I get the following checksum error.

I am using Win2k, Apache 2.0.63 and PHP 5.2.6.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Tim
Are all packages up-to-date? I remember that older versions of Mail (or maybe one of the utilized Net_* packages) had problems with address that were specified both in send() and in the 'To' header. In newer versions this seems to be fixed, and emails are only sent out once.

Thanks, sorted it. It was several things in combination:

Restarting IIS does not apparently cause PHP.INI to be reread after setting 'display_errors'. Needs a reboot.
Some of the errors were script timeouts - timing out before the SMTP server returned, and nothing came back then.

'display_errors' is now working as expected.

Where did you change this value? Did you restart your webserver if you did in php.ini?
This indicates that MDB2 needs more memory if debugging is enabled.

Im finding that pear by default does not play nice on windows. Im running in to huge problems as this is my first time working on a windows box. All my clients have been on linux and i have NO problems there.

does anyone have any idea other than directly modifying the files?

I cant seem to find any good articles here on this forum, looks like everyone here uses *nix...

I'm not sure about the permissions, but yes, it seems that the files just cannot be deleted.

I think I have installed PEAR on a 64-bit Vista Installation. However when I perform any of the pear command line activities I receive a warning "Invalid Configuration Directive" which I click an OK button on.

The command line operations seem to function just fine otherwise.

The config-show indicates that I should probably have a pear.ini and pearsys.ini files in my C:\windows directory. However a search of my machine indicates that no pear.ini or pearsys.ini files exist.

I attempted to create a blank set of ini files into the directory and found it required administrative authorization. When I copied files in to that location the command line operations failed with a bad or corrupted configuration file.

Well I guess a blank file isn't what was expected so I am thinking that the installation creates the .ini files and it was unable to because it did not have administrative authority.

Is there a way to build the .ini files or are they not absolutely necessary?

I have a Windows XP machine that built it's own pear.ini so not being certain of the format I am hesitant to attempt an edit build for this machine using that old formatted pear.ini.

                                      Hello and thanks in advance,

Several managed host providers advertise ability to install and use egroupware. After digging a bit deeper it turns out the filemanger module requires HTTP_WebDAV_Server. I've been in contact with 4+ providers. 3 of which advertise egroupware compatiblity. All 4 report HTTP_WebDAV_Server is not installed.

Sorry it took so long to get to the queston.

Does anyone know a managed host provider that supports a fully implemented egroupware. Or, a host provider that allows HTTP_WebDAV_Server to be installed.
