I just installed PEAR with go-pear and it finally installed but when I go to start the web frontend i get the following error
Warning: Can not find config file, please specify the $pear_user_config variable in /PEAR/index.php
Error: the template directory (c:\php4\pear\data\PEAR_Frontend_Web\data\templates) is not a directory, or not readable. Make sure the 'data_dir' of your config file (c:\php4\pear\data) points to the correct location !
I'm out of my depth to solve this so any help would really be appreciated.
One thing I did notice during the install was this:
Note: To use PEAR without any problems you need to add your
PEAR Installation path (E:\inetpub\vhosts\~\httpdocs\pear/PEAR)
to your include_path
I have no idea where the include path is I'm supposed to change but assume it's in the php.ini file which I don't have access to. I read somewhere about creating a .htaccess file to bypass this so my questions would be:
1. What code do I put in the .htaccess file
2. what location should it be saved at
3. Will this solve the error I'm getting above |

Im finding that pear by default does not play nice on windows. Im running in to huge problems as this is my first time working on a windows box. All my clients have been on linux and i have NO problems there.
does anyone have any idea other than directly modifying the files?
I cant seem to find any good articles here on this forum, looks like everyone here uses *nix... |
