ERROR: unable to unpack - pear frontend!

Hello,

I installed and updated pear all seems to be working because I can install packages from command prompt (I am on windows). I copied the index.php of the frontend of pear to my localhost, changed 2 urls and the web interface now works.. all is great. I add channel for creole: pear.phpdb.org and then I try to install package creole and it says this:

...done: 92,633 bytes
ERROR: unable to unpack C:\\xampp\\php/temp/download\creole-1.1.0.tgz


If I do it from command promt it works. It even shows in the web interface, I can even delete it from there and it works.
I checked and the files are downloaded in the directory you can see in the error message. so why they don't unpack ?!
