problem with PEAR after validate package is installed

in the specified row:

$val = &new PEAR_Validate;

by the way , I already tried to use the latest version of PEAR. this was not resolving the issue. I have encounter the same issue.

it seems to me that when validate package is installed then the PEAR_validate package (which is part of PEAR and differ from validate package) stop working.
