doing a migration from one db to another db

I've run 2 diff versions of create tables and configured them to write class files into dataobject_db1/ and dataobject_db2/ and that went without a hitch

now I need to create a config file that will allow me to open a table class in db1 *and* a table class in db -- both classes use different mysql connect string -- and this is where I'm stymied

the doc at http://pear.php.net/manual/en/package.database.db-dataobject.intro-configuration.php states that
Quote:
When you have multiple databases you can use the database_* to specify the DSN for each database

but there is no working example to help connect the dots

optional strategy: if there is a way to pass a connect string and pathing params for the classes into the factory call, or figure a way to set the params when obj is created via 'new'

any help appreciated
