I got the following error message:

PEAR_Remote: unexpected HTTP response

after sending the upgrade command (recommended by PEAR):

# pear5 upgrade --force PEAR-1.3.6 Archive_Tar-1.3.1 Console_Getopt-1.2

(my distribution takes "pear5" instead of "pear"; using SuSE 10.0)

Can you help me?
What's going wrong?
