Call to undefined method Mail_mail::_sanitizeHeaders()

can some please help me

im searching for 4 days now and i cant find it

i have installed osdate on mij windows server 2003
all my other websites are running great also the mail

but with osdate i have problems

when i register or invite someone and he needs to send a mail i get

Fatal error: Call to undefined method Mail_mail::_sanitizeHeaders() in C:\xampp\php\PEAR\Mail\mail.php on line 92

i cant find anything thats wrong
all the websites have the same settings and still osdate doesnt work

the line 92 in mail.php = $this->_sanitizeHeaders($headers);

can someone help me please ?
