|
|
I try to use go-pear install on linux/php5.2.2
When I create the temp dir with 777 permission and run the go-pear script, the permission of the temp dir changes to 755 - and the installation stops.
If I let the go-pear make the temp dir, the same fatal error occurs and I am not allowed to change the permissions afterwards from my ftp (Filezilla) !
Any suggestions how to get around that? |

OK I figure it has something to do with safe_mode=on.
My host wont change that, so how to install pear with safe_mode on? |

Hi, sorry to bump an old thread but I am really stuck,
Im having exactly the same problem, no matter what whenever I run go-pear.php directory permissions on 'temp' change to 755 and I cannot change them back, I have to recreate the directory to return it to 777.
I am trying to run this on a linux VPN server running Apache and PHP5, is there anything in script that I can change that will stop the directory chmod being changed? |
