use of dataobject and formbuilder

I am new with pear packages.
I am trying to use db_dataobjets and formbuilder. I can generate class files and the standard form.
I would like to use links between two tables in order to chose the value of the fiield in a select.
I have tried many things from tutorials and samples but unsuccessfully.

It is said to create a ini file with the links.
the name of the file is mydatabase.links.ini

What do I need to create this select.
