No, I'm quite serious. I didn't say you need to know much about servers, I said you needed to know something.

That is, you don't need extensive knowledge, but you must be familiar with the basics (in particular, directory structure, permissions, include_path).

Have you tried running the go-pear file? http://pear.php.net/go-pear
